Located in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, Tsinghua University was established in 1911 on the site of “Qing Hua Yuan (Tsinghua Garden)” and it is one of the best universities in China.

The International Joint Research Laboratory for Innovative Design and Manufacturing of Advanced Mechanical Systems (IDM Joint Lab) is founded based on the resources of Tsinghua University and RWTH Aachen. Both the management organization and the research team of it are composed of personnel and researchers from the two parties, aiming at building the world leading teaching and research cooperation platform as well as promoting high level fundamental research and high-tech research. IDM Joint Lab also works closely with enterprises in China and abroad, now it has cooperation relationship with a number of well-known enterprises.

Positions and Remuneration

Positions include one Visiting Professor position, two Research Fellow positions and 4 Post-doctor positions.

Visiting Professor: Applicants should have a PhD degree, professor position, and work in the fields of Tribology and Nanotechnology. The remuneration package will be in the range from 4000 USD to 6000 USD per month.

Research Fellow: Applicants should have a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering. The remuneration package will be in the range from 2000 USD to 4000 USD per month.

Post-doctor: Applicants should have a PhD degree and work in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Surface Science. The remuneration package will be in the range from 2000 USD to 4000 USD per month.
